I just thought I would post all these visual aids I have done this year in one place.
I really liked looking at Melissa's sister in law's idea of using Mr. Potato head and wrapping it in foil. It's always good to have new ideas from someone else. So if you have any more ideas I'd be happy to hear them. And I hope these ideas help someone else too.
I hope they call me on a mission:
The boy and girl grow while the children are singing.

I hope they call me on a mission:
The boy and girl grow while the children are singing.
I put an eyelet at the top and near the bottom on the skirt/pants. Then I ran a piece of fishing line through it and taped the boy/girl top on to it. Pull the string in the back and it goes up and down.
I cut this "Valentine" up and covered a picture of Jesus and the kids took the pieces off and we sang a song that told about Jesus' love for us.
This is an old project that I did but the kids always love it. I had them name this creature and they named it Cocoa. I often let the kids hold it and Cocoa comes out when everyone is singing really well and looks all around at everyone. If they don't sing as well Cocoa goes back in the can.
Lightening is new. He is just on a pencil. Cocoa is on a little dowel. Lightening's hair can be fixed so it is laying down and when he hears singing he comes out of his can (which is a frosting container) and gets so excited that his hair stands on end.
When the children sing really well he grows and goes over to his bone.
If I did this one again I would figure out what color my colored dog was going to be before I went and got the ribbon so that I could match the color better. But no worries the kids don't really care, it's just me that it bothers.
This punch out butterfly I made on a tri-fold presentation board. I like that because I can fold it up and put it in a smaller spot. I tape tissue paper (any color) over the holes and have a string with a paper clip on it behind each hole. The kids punch through and take the little paper off the paper clip and it tells the song we will sing next. The boys really like punching this one so you have to tell them to be careful or your thing will die like my punch out caterpiller did.
That's it for now. Hope this helps someone a little bit.

Very creative...if ever I am Primary chorister again they would be great ideas to use.
Elaine, you should open your own etsy shop where you sell primary visual aids. It would be a big hit!
These are awesome. Those kids in your ward are so lucky to have you!
Too bad cottage cheese or hummus don't grow in the garden, then I could make Alan eat it!
Beggars can't be choosers:)
yay!!! NOW I just need to become the primary chorister :)
I LOVE ALL your ideas!
